CDA Chairman reviews progress of Law Wing

Islamabad, October 29, 2014: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Maroof Afzal chaired a high level meeting held at CDA Headquarter, to review the progress of the Law Wing of the Authority. Chairman CDA directed that steps shall be taken to make law wing pro-active, effective and more efficient for early disposal of different cases which are pending in different courts of law.

Meeting was attended by Member Administration and Estate, Amer Ali Ahmed, Deputy Director General Law, Deputy Director General (HRD) and other relevant officers of the Authority. Chairman CDA was informed about the progress of different cases which are pending in courts and also the detail of pending inquires.
Chairman CDA directed to depute lawyers in each wing i.e Engineering, Environment, Estate, Administration, Planning and Finance Wing separately, who will be responsible for follow up and progress of the cases of their respective wings and will submit progress report about the cases on regular basis. Chairman CDA directed that in future deputed lawyer of the respective wing will be held responsible and answerable in case of Ex-Parte decision against the Authority.
Chairman CDA directed to pursue cases more vigorously for their early disposal in order to improve performance of the law wing.
During the meeting, it was also decided that all the nominated inquiry officers, who are conducting different inquiries shall be asked to finalize the pending inquiries within one month and submit inquiry reports to the authorized officers, otherwise an inquiry will be initiated against the inquiry officer who will cause undue delay in finalizing the inquiry reports. Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal further said that the officers against whom inquires are being conducted will not be posted in that department so that they could not influence the inquiries.
